Soy artista, cineasta, profesora y cocinera. Crecí en el semidesierto zacatecano y actualmente vivo en Barcelona. Licenciada en Filosofía y Licenciada en Artes Visuales ambas por la Universidad Autónoma de Zacatecas. Cursé el máster en Teoría y Práctica del Documental Creativo en la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona. Co-fundadé el espacio de arte contemporáneo independiente Tiempo Compartido.
Desde el 2018 dirijo Hermenauta Estudio-Laboratorio, un laboratorio de producción experimental audiovisual y cinematográfica.
En 2020 creé la colectiva Sindicata, una colectiva de mujeres trabajadoras del cine, del video y la fotografía en el estado de Zacatecas.
En 2020 emprendí Ediciones Cuchilla un proyecto editorial auto gestionado que edita y publica libros de artista de distribución libre. El mismo año emprendí un proyecto @Tortilla_delMar de comida mexicana hecha con maíz y chile organizando comilonas para artistas y amantes del maíz.
Junto con Luna Andrade coordino Cine Carnalas, un espacio para ver y conversar sobre cine documental hecho por mujeres latinoamericanas en el Ateneu del Raval en Barcelona.

Produje la ficción Donde duermen los pájaros (2022) dirigida por Alejandro Alatorre, selección oficial en FICUNAM y GIFF.
Co-dirigí el documental Dolores (2021) sobre la anarcosindicalista Dolores Iturbe Arizcuren, estreno nacional en DocsBarcelona 2021. Proyectado en DOCMA Asociación de Cine Documental (2022) y The European Observatory on Memory (2022).
Dirigí la carta fílmica Carta Sangre (2020) la cual formo parte del primer festival Íntima (Madrid) y Feminasty #6 (CD MX).

Actualmente me encuentro produciendo mi opera prima "Entre Orden y Caos: espacio de investigación" el cual ha sido beneficiado con el Programa de Estímulos a la Creación PECDAZ 2022, con el Programa de Apoyo a la Docencia, Investigación y Difusión de las Artes 2017 (PADID) y formó parte de Plataforma MX de DocsMX en 2018.

Mi trabajo ha formado parte de festivales y exposiciones como:
Mostra Internacional de Films de Dones de Barcelona, La Virreina Centre de la Imatge (2022/online), Docs Barcelona (2020), DOCMA Asociación de Cine Documental (2022), The European Observatory on Memory (2022), Cine danza festival en Modena, Italia (2022), Galería MUTUO (Barcelona, 2021), L' Alternativa (Barcelona, 2019-2020), Videotitlan (México-Perú, 2020), Vandal Art Weekend (Barcelona, 2020), Feminasty (México, 2020), XIII Bienal FEMSA exposición Interludio (Zacatecas, 2019).

He sido artista residente en FemArt (CaLaDona) y Bar Project en Barcelona.
Del 2021 al 2022 fui miembra de Crater Lab, un colectivo de cine analógico y experimental en Barcelona.

Trabajo en las intersecciones entre arte, investigación y educación. Los proyectos de investigación que actualmente llevo a cabo versan sobre conceptos políticos y epistémicos como: generosidad, reflexión compartida, geometría política, reunión-comunión entorno a la comida.
Mi práctica artística se articula a partir de epistemologías experimentales y disidentes, una exploración e interés por la articulación y transferencia de conocimientos y aprendizajes en colectividad.
A partir del diseño y gestión de actividades busco la conexión y activación de economías solidarias y modos de organización auto gestionados.

I am an artist, filmmaker, teacher and cook. I grew up in the Zacatecan semi-desert and currently lives in Barcelona. Degree in Philosophy and Degree in Visual Arts, both from the Autonomous University of Zacatecas. I studied the Master in Theory and Practice of Creative Documentary at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. I co-founded the independent contemporary art space Tiempo Compartido.
Since 2018 I have been running Hermenauta Estudio-Laboratorio, a laboratory for experimental audiovisual and film production.
In 2020 I created the Sindicata collective, a collective of women workers in film, video and photography in the state of Zacatecas.
In 2020 I undertook Ediciones Cuchilla, a self-managed editorial project that edits and publishes freely distributed artist books. The same year I started a project @Tortilla_delMar of Mexican food made with corn and chile, organizing feasts for artists and corn lovers.
Together with Luna Andrade, I coordinate Cine Carnalas, a space to see and talk about documentary films made by Latin American women at the Ateneu del Raval in Barcelona.

I produced the fiction Where the birds sleep (2022) directed by Alejandro Alatorre, official selection at FICUNAM and GIFF.
I co-directed the documentary Dolores (2021) about the anarcho-syndicalist Dolores Iturbe Arizcuren, national premiere at DocsBarcelona 2021. Screened at DOCMA Documentary Film Association (2022) and The European Observatory on Memory (2022).
I directed the film Carta Sangre (2020) which was part of the first Íntima festival (Madrid) and Feminasty #6 (CD MX).

I am currently producing my debut work "Between Order and Chaos: research space" which has benefited from the PECDAZ 2022 Creation Incentive Program, with the Support Program for Teaching, Research and Dissemination of the Arts 2017 ( PADID) and was part of the DocsMX MX Platform in 2018.

My work has been part of festivals and exhibitions such as:

I have been a resident artist at FemArt (CaLaDona) and Bar Project in Barcelona.
From 2021 to 2022 she was a member of Crater Lab, an analog and experimental film collective in Barcelona.

I work at the intersections between art, research and education. The research projects that I am currently carrying out deal with political and epistemic concepts such as: generosity, shared reflection, political geometry, meeting-communion around food.
My artistic practice is articulated from experimental and dissident epistemologies, an exploration and interest in the articulation and transfer of knowledge and collective learning.
From the design and management of activities, I seek the connection and activation of solidarity economies and self-managed modes of organization.
